Fashion Design Camp

This week Niki (Seaplane’s new buyer) and I have gone back and forth between Seaplane and Fashion Design Camp. I think I can speak for both of us when I say- I wish I was 9 again. It’s so amazing to hear these kids talk about fashion, and how at 8 years old some of them have already made clothing for their friends and dolls.

Yesterday both Niki and I taught our classes -Silkscreening and Knitting. I was a little worried about teaching 45 kids at one time, knowing knitting is a whole different ballgame than sewing- It’s truely a labor of love, but those girls hung in there! I was so relieved to hear some little voices telling eachother “I love knitting!”
